This is the best thing old fashion that i love. Doing it yourself!
My mother always asked me "why do people by things that looks like they've been through hell?" She would always say "why not just do it yourself and save the money."
She was on to something I tell you. So lets get down to business. Cut out dresses have made a splash this season. No matter what length or color or even style. Just grab an old dress, some scissors, and a little creativity. If you have a particular shape feel free to turn the dress inside out and use a chalk marker to trace the shape and cut it out. If you have to draw the shape make sure you use a marker or writing utensil that will not leave a mark and if washer friendly. Something without scent would also be smart. Once you have the shape traced the choice of where to stop or where to put it next it up to you, and your own sense of style and creativity. This step is optional but i suggest that you place the garment under a sewing machine( or sew it by hand) and run a few stitches on the area that has been cut out. This will strengthen the garment and will allow the shape to be durable while going through the rumbles of the washing machine. Once the stitches are secure, you should now wash it and dry it and then you will have your very own DYI cut out dress.
Good Luck,
